Seafood

Seafood-Chile, a major salmon exporter, has grown their salmon production from reduced rates caused by disease issues in '09. Chilean output is due to build modestly in '12. If this is accompanied with a higher US dollar valuation, lower salmon prices could develop this year. The snow crab markets are relatively steady. The Alaskan Bering Sea snow crab harvest is anticipated to expand notably in the coming weeks.
